This summer, HomeAway created the first ever Eiffel Tower Apartment, where four lucky families from around the globe made history by being the first tourists to ever spend the night in the Eiffel Tower. This activation was the result of HomeAway dreaming big to get additional exposure for its EURO 2016 football tournament sponsorship outside of France, while raising its overall brand awareness globally.
While it was the most successful PR campaign in HomeAway’s history, there were several obstacles along the way that challenged the program and required flexibility and issues management.
